Dr. Haas, Dr. Trontz and Dr. Hugo are some of the only pediatric dentists in the state to hold a permit to sedate children. We offer our pediatric dental sedation to patients throughout Derry, Nashua, Dover and surrounding areas.
What is sedation dentistry?

Our Pediatric Sedation Options
Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous Oxide is often referred to as laughing gas and has been used for over 200 years. This relaxant is delivered via a mask to minimize discomfort during your child’s appointment. The patient remains awake at all times and able to easily communicate. It is not strong enough for all levels of anxiety and the patient must be able to breathe through their nose for administration. It is a low-impact sedative, so there is very little recover time post-treatment.
Sedation
Haas Dental has partnered with Northpoint Anesthesia Partners to give our patients the very best care. Intravenous sedation is a great option for those who are very nervous or for individuals with special needs. This procedure is performed safely in our office using a deeper level of sedation, ensuring your child is fully asleep throughout. This helps our dentists deliver detailed and careful treatment with comfort and safety.
Sedation is administered via IV by Dr. Lily Hu, a pediatric anesthesiologist, supported by two nurses. Recovery is quick, and the procedure is safe and closely monitored. All dental treatment is completed in a single visit.
